The National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM) actively took part in the National Validation Workshop on the Agricultural Mechanization Policy 2025, organized by the Federal Department of Agricultural Mechanization (FDAM) under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

The Centre was ably represented by Engr. Dr. Y. S. Ademiluyi, Director of Engineering and Head of Processing & Storage Engineering Department, on behalf of the Executive Director, Engr. Dr. A. R. Kamal, FNIAE. He was joined by fellow NCAM management member, Engr. Dr. I. C. Ozumba, Head of Agro-Industrial Development and Extension (AIDE).

The event attracted high-level participation, including representatives of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, FAO, TOFAN, TOOAN, the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and the Nigeria Institution of Agricultural Engineers (NIAE), alongside several industry leaders and chairmen, as well as Permanent Secretaries from key federal ministries. The presence of SON highlighted the crucial technical and regulatory input required for robust policy validation.

This engagement provided a platform to:
- Validate the National Agricultural Mechanization Policy (NAMP 2025).
- Strengthen collaboration among government, development partners, and professional bodies.
- Advance strategies for food security, sustainable agriculture, and farmer-focused mechanization.

As the nation’s apex institution for agricultural mechanization, NCAM remains committed to pioneering research, innovation, and homegrown technologies that power Nigeria’s agricultural transformation.
